Sylvie, I'm so glad I found this blog! You're hilarious. I love this one because I've asked myself that question a million times -- you mean, I spent all that money for something that fits in a tiny bag???
I showed your blog to my husband and joked that I wanted a Don Knotts one. And he made me one! I'll have to post it on my blog when I remember to take it off my flash drive. ;)
Why thank you Ms. Sequins! :D I usually feel less than funny because my "audience" is 2 teenage boys who are hilarious themselves and nothing that MOM says is ever funny.... besides no one gets this kind of humor but us beady girls! (and your husband if he's able to write "hey girl" with Don Knotts!!! He MIGHT want to be ready to be a contestant in my "real life hey girl bead-hunk" Valentine contest. More details on that later!)
p.s. Sometimes I feel a little guilty for MAKING the expensive things that fit in the tiny bags.... and then I remember there are bills to be paid... and more beads to be bought and I get over it! :D
Omg. That's hysterical! Haven't gotten that far into the deep end of the fabulous world of art beads. I'm still in the $50 a bead limit. I'm sure I'll break that very soon. Though I once bought a pendant for $75 but it was for me, so it doesn't count.
I finally have a bit of down time to properly thank you Sylvie for my hunky bead guy!! I probably spent closer to 300.00 when all was said and done. And it all fit in two sandwich size baggies!! I am so grateful that there are only two big local bead shows a year! Thank you again, I adore Timothy!
LOL - Lets try this again. Why don't they have spell check on these things! I just wanted to say cool "Hey Girl". It made me laugh because I hide my expensive beads (well wrapped) in the center of "sale strands" at B&B. My DH thinks I'm a wonderful shopper....

ReplyDeleteOh man, this is just spot on! (I'm not quite as advanced yet, could maybe do $30 worth on a bag that size...)
